The guy leading the workshop had an eye for finding cracked mud scenes.
This was off the road to Badwater.

Leaving tracks.

This is not the "Race Track" phenomenon, rather the erosion from water flows around the rock.
This scours the mud, leaving the aggregate of the underlying rocks exposed.

Fascinating - I have never spent much time scouring mud flats for subjects but this makes the effort seem worthwhile. Nice set of shots.

Super cool Dan! Love these cracks! My favorite is probably #1 since that rock in the middle really draws the eyes focus in.

One wouldn’t think that it was that hard to find mud cracks there, but they can actually be quite elusive.

Jim, we found them just off the road out of our campground too.
They were more "detail scenes, but still worthy of trying to capture

Scouring mud flats is always worthy, Dan. These images are thoughtful and good. I've followed Lynn on FB.

You made a great job of what is for me an unusual subject, Very interesting.
