I like the idea but my eyes can't quite figure out where they are supposed to land as I look at the image.

Zooming in a bit to crop off the tops and the bottom of the stalks offers some interesting contrasts between the vertical stalks and the horizontal ripples in the water behind.

Hey Ad,

I like your creativity. This I think is a hard image to pull off, it's that time of year where I know of some photographers who won't even pick up a camera. So I am glad you are out and shooting.

I do kind of like it. As Alan said there isn't a real focal point for the eye in an image like this. What I would suggest is to crop it again in this pano format, loosing about a 3rd off the top and some off the left side (so it doesn't show water along the edge). Then I think it could turn into a bit of an abstract for you.

You could almost zoom in even more to get more emphasis on the horizontal lines of the water behind.

I tried it and zooming in and cropping makes it a lot better. So let me try that.
