Somewhere in the Tablelands

I went for a drive in the Volcanic Tablelands north of Bishop, CA, and stumbled into this canyon with a narrow, twisty, tricky dirt road. A field of wildflowers inspired me to take a break from driving. White Mountain Peak is in the background, just a few hundred feet shorter than Mt. Whitney.

Glad you decided to take a break from driving - neat little scene with some great wildflowers. Those are some exceptionally deep blues on the lupines that are a sharp contrast to the adjacent yellows.
