Backlighting and fall colors on aspens. Always a beautiful combination and this shows it off well.

When I first moved up to the PNW I thought alders would look like this in the fall with their white trunks. It took several years of trying to catch them at peak color before it sank in that we just don't anything like aspen groves west of the Cascades.

Thanks Alan. Agree about the colors this side of the cascades. They both have their own characteristics.
