I should probably convert some of mine, I just never think about it. This looks good in B&W

Thanks Ben! Yeah, I probably should too.

One thing that's amazing with this is that the wave splash is probably 50 feet tall, I think it loses a bit of perspective without being there.

Thats an interesting approach for splash shots. And it works.

I have a collection of splash shots that never really made it out of my archive that this might work for.......

For sure, I bet we all have some old shots that could work really well in B&W. I have found not every shot of mine is good in B&W, but for some, if the contrasting light and darkness is there, it can create a cool B&W.

Very nice. Excellent conversion - lots of contrast along with great tones in the clouds and of course peak wave action! If it were mine I'd crop for more emphasis on the wave & rocks:
