SS Blackberry

Yesterday I was wandering around the Port of Siuslaw area near the campground I was staying at with gray skies and air that was officially rated as Unhealthy (152 AQ index) so looking for grand vistas wasn't warranted. I took my DSLR with a single lens and set it up with f/11 and 125th shutter speed and auto-ISO for some hand held shooting. Not entirely exciting but I did stumble across a small dory that was slowly being swallowed up by the local blackberries like everything that gets abandoned on the west side of the Cascades.

It almost looked like the blackberries were trying to crawl onboard for a trip across the river.

Oh man, I thought you had seen a Blackberry phone floating down the river at first.

This is a pretty nice find, I agree with Ben that I like the 2nd the best, though I wish you had gotten the bottom of the boat in it so it wasn't cut off and lost the sky.

So now... I am hungry for some blackberries.

I had a choice in the second one - include the vines crawling across the planking or get the whole front. The beach slope behind me and my lens at full wide zoom said "choose one". I went for the vines.

If you were there in mid August it's all the blackberries you can eat in every direction you go.
