Star Trails in Colorado

Seestar S30 Pro star trail mode. 6hrs of data. I used AI to remove light trails from planes and satellites. While it was calm, some breeze must have kicked up during the 6hr acquisition to blur the trees. Finally, I cropped the image to a 3:2. Next time, I'll find a more static foreground but I'm happy with this first attempt.

That's a great first attempt Bob. The Milky Way mode is the S30 Pro's best feature I think, they did some great programming on it.

And yeah, trees are usually not an Nightscape photographers friend as they will move during the night. That's why I usually try to find rocks since the wind doesn't blow them as much. :)

I agree regarding the trees but from the deck on the condo where I'm staying in Keystone was the only suitable foreground element. Still a good first test.

Yep, and to be honest, the little bit of movement didn't bother me at all. I think we as photographers can get bothered by things that don't really bother anyone else. :)

So I think it's great, it's not like the branches are whipping back and forth and totally blurred, you still have some very nice detail in it.
