Stepping Stones

Deep in my archives, I found this image. I was new with digital photography, and had purchased a used Nikon D-50 from a friend, just to experiment. This is one of my early images with that tool.

This is at a local city park in Tucson, AZ. We don't get much water here, so I always like to capture what I can. This is after a rain storm.

Out of curiosity what are the stones for when the water is not present? Their placement is non random in spite of having a sense of not being aligned.

Very cool Ron! I would imagine you sure want to take advantage of any water. I like the random stones.

Good observation Alan. You are correct. I revisited the area on a dry day to find the stones set in cement! Perhaps they are meant to reduce erosion... not sure.

Thanks Jim. I really like Tucson. It's my hometown. However, after spending 6 years in the U.S. Navy, I've learned to miss water!
