Strike Four

From last September in Blue Valley by Factory Butte in Utah. I have already posted a couple of images from this massive lightning storm I was able to capture. This is a single image.

All comments are welcome,

Jim

PS. Alan mentioned it but I forgot to initially, this was at sunset, that's where the yellow light comes from. The other weird and changing light was from the lightning strikes. I described it in detail in previous threads, but this was an evening where it was a race between the storm and the sunset.

Jim...These are spectacular. I have never captured lightening. I love the yellow light moving my eye back and forth to the lightening.

Man, instead of strike four, you got a home run. Love the cloud shapes and the yellow sky and my favorite subject (red rocks) and the lightning is the icing on the cake.

As to Ben's point, a Grand Slam! The color, clouds, the drama and the multiple strikes. It looks like you doctored it.... NOT

Wonderfull sky show - both the sunset as well as the lightning.
Thanks Alan! And thanks for mentioning it was at sunset, I had left that info out of this post, though most might know it from my previous posts. So I edited that info into the original here.

I appreciate that Trent! For years I was never able to capture lightning either. In California, lightning is basically non existent. The few times it might happen it would just be clouds strikes you could hear but never see. Since I spend more time in Utah and Colorado now, I have had the chance to catch lightning just about every year, and it's a blast.

Thanks so much Dan! Yeah, the colors are pretty insane. Thankfully nature can get crazy with it's light and color shows as I don't even think I could come up with anything this crazy on my own. :)
