Subsiding Storm

I took this image after standing on top of a knoll for about five to six hours during an interesting storm. The great thing was, although it was cold out, I never noticed because the changing weather conditions throughout that time frame were so interesting. Every few minutes would give me a completely different take on photographing these towers as the storm rolled through. This is the tail end of the storm as it moved on after a pretty dramatic day of weather. It was what makes landscape photography interesting, being lucky and in the right place at the right time. Just waiting and experiencing nature, and with a camera of course.

That fresh dusting of snow looks nice against the reds and the remains of the storm clouds decorate the skies quite well.

Hey Craig,

What a great way to spend the day! That dusting of snow really adds a lot to this shot.

Ahhh, love the description and the image. To me, that's the perfect day. I'm so jealous.

Great work. And I'd say great effort, but I know for you -- it's just as you described it -- the real reward is being there. The photos are a bonus. And this is a beauty.
