Sunflower Dunes

This shot had a lot of contrast, so I thought I'd see how a B&W would work. Kind of a post-apocalyptic look, I think, though not as much as Alisa's smoky sunflower.

The way that those foreground blooms lit up against the pretty-much-silhouetted background dunes made me think of B&W.

Funny that I didn't think of this as a B&W when I saw the color version, but the bright flowers really stand out. I also see a vertical composition cropping into the center then brightening the flowers in the background that would make a nice lead into the mountains.

I probably have a vertical as the color version was a vertical pano. Just haven't had time to go through all of them in different iterations yet. Will post when I do.
