Sunflower Glow

From a sunflower field that I cam across in South Dakota while driving to Minnesota a month ago. I liked the look of the sunflower when converted to B&W and the pedals turning from yellow to an almost glowing white.

It does kind of have that feel. This was a straight B&W conversion using the B&W conversion tool in Photoshop. It's nice because it lets you adjust each color individually for how much Black or White that color gets converted to. So for the Yellow, I pushed it whiter, and liked the look it took on.

Nice conversion Jim. Would suggest a crop to lose some of the OOF flowers in the bottom or perhaps clone them.

Awesome, Jim! I like this B&W treatment a lot. Even if sunflowers beg to be rendered in color, this is a unique take and allows the viewer to focus on the details - especially the petals and seeds.
