Sunny Winter Day at Rocky Mountain National Park

I spent last weekend in Estes Park to celebrate my Birthday. Estes Park in the gateway Rocky Mountain National Park. We had 2 beautiful days with clear blue skies and lots of sunshine. A snow storm was brewing as we left on Monday approaching from the west; we got out of Dodge just in time.

Wow, it's amazing how little snow is up there right now. So it's good snow is coming in. I hope it hangs around until next week as I will be back there and I hope to hike up to Emerald Lake.

Thanks Jim for the birthday wish, appreciated! . There is still plenty of snow higher up. We stopped at Bear Lake and there was at least 2 feet of snow on the trail around Bear Lake and more on the trails up the Fern Lake and beyond! New snow is heading that way this week, not too heavy, but enough to cover the ground with a pole of inches.

Thanks Jameel for the Birthday wish, appreciated! We spent the weekend in Estes Park and really did have a great time. We had easy access to RMNP and all the nice shops and restaurants in Estes Park .. wonderful times. We did it last year and may do it again next year, a new tradition in the making!
