Sunset Arch Deux

This is from 2 nights ago, I was trail running at one of my favorite places to run in Northern Colorado. The nature area has the Poudre River on one side of it. I was running with 2 cameras, the Z8 with the 50-400mm in case the Owls or Bald Eagles made an appearance (which they didn't) and the Z6III and the 24-200mm as the clouds were looking good and I thought I might get a nice sunset.

This is a 5 shot vertical pano with the Z6 and 24-200mm.

All comments are welcome,

Jim

PS. On my way back to the parking lot after it had gotten dark I could hear the owls hooting in the trees but it was so dark I couldn't make anything out. I guess they forgot to switch their clocks to Daylight Savings time?

And you didn't go back and help the owls reset their clocks?

Very tasty reflections. This would have been a really nice sunset even just once but the reflections make it a twofer.

Ha ha.... if they weren't so unsociable I would have told them. :)

Thanks!

Nice. How can you run carrying all that gear?
Thanks Jeffrey!

It's easy, maybe because I have been doing it for as long as I can remember. But it's one camera over each shoulder. The Z8 and 50-400mm is heavier, so I run with it kind of cradled in my arm. The Z6III and 24-200mm is so light it hardly moves on my side, so it lays there nice, though I do sometimes cradle it too.

I know everyone thinks I am crazy because I know of other photographers who are runners, who end up missing out on great shots because they won't run with a camera or two. Maybe it's harder then I think it is, and I just don't realize that I shouldn't be running like that too? But the thought of missing out on a photograph would kill me...

beautiful colors, too bad the owls decided to sleep in.
Thanks so much!

Yeah, I hear them about every other time I go there. But I have only actually seen and photographed them once. They are some big teases for sure!
