I am traveling on the I-40 back to California, as I approached the Continental Divide the sunset was starting to hit, so I took the exit. And for the record, this is just one of many times I have taken that exit to capture the sunset.
I first captured an old abandoned post office, then as the colors kind of stumbled I moved around looking for other foregrounds, the colors exploded just as I saw this sign.
My first thought was someone had sunsetted that sign for as old and worn out as it was, so it seemed to fit in with the real sunset.
