sunset tracks

Came across this abandoned building. Up in till the 1930s it was used as building that facilitated Cable to Wales (approx 50 miles away) across the Irish Sea.

Was there at sunset. Unfortunately there is a 5ft fence blocking access to the track (Health and Safety alas) so tricky to get a good composition. As ever any comments or suggestions welcome. Taken with 6dM2 and ND 6.

Very cool Graeme! What a neat old building. Did this sold tickets to boats that crossed the sea?

I think I like #1 the most with the starburst around the sun. What was the purpose of the ND6?

Neat old building - this was the termination for an underseas cable? Was this for telegraph?

I like the sunburst in the first image although the second one is a very peaceful scene as well.
