Really nice light isolating the sea stack from the side like this.

Not quite sure where this sea stack is - I have explored around the north end of the Crescent City area once back in 2012 looking for interesting places to shoot the annular eclipse. I only went as far north as Point St. George near the regional airport as the coast was getting a bit on the boring side looking up towards the Oregon border.

False Klamath is less than a mile north of Trees of Mystery on the Redwood Highway (HWY 101), south of Crescent City. There are a couple of parking areas and some picnic tables there. And some really nice sea stacks to photograph.

OK - I was way off in thinking where this was and I should have recognized the scene. I almost always stop at the Wilson Creek turnout when driving along that stretch of US101 and have taken quite a few images in that area. There are often some really nice waves in that area that break across the plentiful sea stacks.
