I saw a hummingbird feeding from the red yucca in our yard (couldn't resist trying to get a picture). This was taken with a small-sensor zoom lens camera with a 1.7X afocal teleconverter attached -- 780mm "equivalent focal length" -- hand-held -- autofocus -- with image stabilization. Out of 7 shots, most missed the bird completely as it darted around. This is the one surprising result.
