Surrounding Sneffels

That is Mt Sneffels in the background, this is an area that only 3 years ago looked nothing like this. The beavers were busy 2 years ago and dammed up a creek which changed it's flow which then created all of this. It's amazing to see how much the erosion has worked from one year to the next and I look forward to going back this summer and seeing what new sights there might be to see.

So this was from sunrise, and it was a glorious morning to be there.

All comments are welcome,

This is really nice, Jim. I'm fascinated by what appears to be two creeks dropping in to form one.

Great backdrop for for a hydrology experiment :)

It also looks like there was yet another channel that flowed into the pool on the right. It would be interesting to see a drone shot of how things have shifted/are shifting because of the dam.

Yeah, this new creek comes from down by where the dead trees are standing tall further back. And yeah, it splits off as it's draining west with the largest portion making a big L curve to pour into here and that smaller portion that's taking a short cut also meets up there. It's really interesting to see how that water flows. It's eroding pretty fast, so it will be interesting to see what's left, or if it's taking a different path this year. Thanks Jeffrey.

I like the composition and "V"s you captured in nature. I see three layers of "V"s if that makes sense.
