Sweetleaf Honeybee

I bought a Nikkor Micro 105mm last summer and created this image with my D750 in my front yard. The bees love our Baja Fairy Duster.

Not sure if I have ever heard of a Baja Fairy Duster but it looks interesting and the bee agrees. Neat shot.

We have native fairy dusters here, but the ones in Baja are larger and more colorful. But they grow here.

I just looked them up and now that I have seen images of the full grown plant I remember these from growing up in Phoenix. The leaves were what jogged my recollection of these plants.

Awesome detail on the bee! And that's a flower I had never heard of before. What a unique name.
