Thanks Jim! I felt a less-contrasty look would feel more like a sketch or pencil drawing. I wanted softness to convey here.Hey Jeff,
This is really cool. I like the low contrast look.
I am not a huge flower shooter, but when it comes to roses, I can't help shooting them!
Gracias Alan! Rain, in Portland?! Never!!I like it! I have access to a lot of rose gardens in the Portland area and do shoot them (esp. in the rain) but have never really zoned in on this perspective. Nice.
Thanks Ben - the thought never crossed my mind!A beauty Jeff, have you considered B&W![]()
Hehe - I have a rather large stash of what I call Rainy RosesThanks Jim! I felt a less-contrasty look would feel more like a sketch or pencil drawing. I wanted softness to convey here.
Gracias Alan! Rain, in Portland?! Never!!Sounds to me like you need to get up close and personal with some of those roses because I think I'd like to see how beads of water would add extra flavor to a shot like this.
Report back!
Jeff
That's a very pretty shot, Alan! That usually a difficult color for sensors to handle but you did a really good job with it. Pops nice against the darker greens.Hehe - I have a rather large stash of what I call Rainy Roses![]()
I have posted one of them on here but haven't dug deep into my collection so far.
