Well done Alex!

So that's tea? I like tea, but but it premade in a bottle. The only tea I have made comes in tea bags, and it feels ground up.

Yeah, it depends on what you mean by tea. For western countries what that usually translates to is something like Earl Grey, or English Breakfast, or Orange Pekoe.

Most of what you'll find at supermarkets is ground up. But it comes in more than just that form. Green tea for example comes either in the tea bags most people are familiar with (which can taste somewhat metallicy), or as matcha powder (which I dislike) or you can find as longer leaf green tea (tastes smoother).

This is a herbal tea. It's dried Jasmine flowers (also available are rosebuds). You steep it with a lid closed to stop the flavour compounds from evaporating, and wait for it to cool down until it's only very warm, rather than hot, so that you can taste the flavours.

I'm a fan of loose tea, mostly black tea and chai, and occasionally rooibos. though I don't buy it in larger quantities since I don't drink out that often. good shots of the tea leaves, it looks much better in containers than in the thick plastic bags I usually get it in.
