Telescope Peak in Early June?

Hi all,

Is anyone interested in spending a sunrise and sunset on Telescope Peak? I'm thinking somewhere in the range of June 7-11 (preferably on a day with clouds and low risk of thunderstorms).

Hey Tim,

That sounds like fun. I have some big plans for July, so not sure I can get out much in June, but if I can I will.

What's your plan for up there? Are you looking to shoot the Milky Way?

My primary subject will be the bristlecones, and the 360 degree view, but night sky will certainly be in the mix.

Update on this: I'll be hiking up Saturday morning for for sunset, sleeping overnight (with some astro), shooting sunrise, and hiking out. At the moment the weather looks a bit windy... I'll be going with one other friend as a warm up for more Sierra hiking later in the week. I'll be driving down from Mammoth with plans to arrive at the Stovepipe Wells visitor center at 8.
