I was visiting the coast this weekend for the first of three king tides this winter. I booked a room with a great balcony view of the sea stacks in Bandon. While making good use of the balcony's view, this guy landed no more than three feet from my tripod and proceeded to stare at me. Every time I turned my head away from the camera to look at him, he turned a bit to avoid direct eye contact with me. Very dog-like behavior!

Looks quite ready for his handout. Some of the coastal gulls near popular viewpoints can be quite brazen about soliciting for lunch. Nice place to be for the king tide.
