The Bison of the Badlands

The Bison population in the Badlands has exploded. It was really cool to see more then just 3 or 4 of them upon entering the park. I had barely entered the park last weekend when I had to pull over and start taking photos and video's. I have a video I am publishing tomorrow which will include a couple of the Bison practicing butting heads. But for now, here are a couple of photos.

All comments are welcome,

Jim

Good thing they don't need trees to survive given the overall landscape in that area :) Nice shots of the bison.

Thanks Alan! I think historically they have always preferred the open plains, so this works for them rather well. The East side of the Badlands has quite a few trees, well at least some trees. But most of the Badlands is just like this, either rolling grass plains or cool looking rock hills and such.

My favorite is #2, but I would love to see both rendered in grey scale. :)
Thank you Sonny!

I have actually done preliminary B&W versions when I was processing these just to see how they might look in B&W, I think there is potential. I am in Nevada on the road, I will work on those when I get back to California.
