Tonight it appeared that the clouds would block any chance of seeing a sunset. However, after sunset, the sky and the water turned purple! I almost missed it.

That's so cool Bob! I like them both with a preference to #1.

I think we have all learned the hard way that just because the sun has set it doesn't mean that the show is over. I think some of my best sunset images were taken a good 15 minutes after sunset when the amazing colors just appear.

I definitely agree. This one was surprising based on the cloud cover at sunset. Just glad I caught it.
