With apologies to @JimFox for a variation on his title. I shot this the day before the full moon. EF 100-400 with a 1.4x TC on a tripod.

This is really cool Jameel. That 100-400 is supposed to be a pretty decent lens, it sure looks like it from here.

Pretty nice - did you have a dark area to shoot from? I live on the west side of the Vancouver area so moonrises come up directly over the city light pollution.

Thanks guys. To Alan’s question I shot this from my backyard. It was pretty dark. The key is to use spot metering on the moon.
