I started this shot of SH2-254-257 when I lived in Florida back in 2019 and I finally finished this 12-12-26 here in Oregon.
I used the Celestron 9.25 in Florida
ASI 1600 mm, 29-300 sec. subs Ha
I used the Takahashi FSQ 106 with the 1.6 extender in Oregon.
60-60 sec subs red filter
60-60 sec subs green filter
45-60 sec subs blue filter (clouds came in and rain for the next several days)

I used the HA in the red channel.

I really like this Chuck! I am glad you got it finished.

I hadn't thought of capturing it like this, it does have a real Snowman look.

I should have just used the Ha in mono to get the real feel of a snowman.

Chuck,

very cool - I know you can combine data sets from really different setups but I have never tried that yet. This results shows it is a very viable thing to do. Great work, thanks for sharing!

Thanks Mike! When if first shot the object I didn't see much data when using the 03 and s2 filters so I gve up on the object. Using the optolong lp pro really helped.
