The Fun Continues...

The fun continues, even after the Bride and Groom have left. Other than a couple of casual weddings for nieces, I've never done weddings and am terrified at the thought. I have, at the request of the brides, taken candid's at the reception (I can see the pros rolling their eyes); but have always introduced myself to the pro and explained that I will stay entirely on the other side of the room. All but one have been very gracious; the other, well, turns out their product wasn't so great after all.

Anyway, a "for fun" shot. Thanks for looking... Mike

Looks fun and spontaneous.

My next comment is no fault of yours, but i really hate seeing alcohol drinks in spontaneous images like this. I cannot put a thought as to why. I'm not against beer/alcohol as i like to put down some fine brews myself, but I just don't like seeing them proudly displayed in an image like this.

Other than that nitpick, great image.

very good. I too have been arm wrestled into doing some family weddings and I always tell them to get a pro if they can afford it. I really like this, great job.

Thanks for the honest evaluation. I can certainly empathize with your opinion since I’m a teetotaler by choice and yet I don’t mind alcohol by others in the proper setting. The problem here was the bride and groom had literally just pulled out, the pro photog was getting shots of the taillights and I looked around to see these jubilant young people still juiced (excited but probably drink happy as well) and I spontaneously motioned them to get together. The pose was entirely theirs and it was so quick I didn’t even see the bottle until processing. I could’ve removed it easily but by then just said what the heck and left it. That’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it.

Oh man, this is great!
Hey Mike,
This looks like a very fun shot! You captured it well.

Lion, Jim & Ben, thanks much. As all of our friend’s children get older my wedding (mostly candid) requests have turned into baby portrait requests. I don’t which is worse ;)... Mike
