Back in the 1950's air conditioning wasn't common in Phoenix houses. We had left the windows open in our house while we were at a movie theater and one of those dust storms hit. There wasn't a square inch of the inside of our house that wasn't covered in a layer of dust.

That would be horrible Alan. I can't imagine how hard that would be to clean, if it ever even got completely cleaned.

Did it hit where you were camped or pass you by?

It took weeks. There was a record sitting on a turntable in the house HiFi system (mono in those days) that had almost 1/4" of dust on it.

sweet photo! definitely wouldn't want the drone to get sandblasted in that mess.
