The La Jolla Potholes

This is from last week in La Jolla, California. It's one of my favorite area's there to photograph, so many unique features in the shelf area.

I am not sure what the name is I want to use for this area, Potholes came to mind, but there must be a better name.

Almost resembles the suction cup side of an octopus arm. A really really big one at that Definitely a unique scene.
