the land of the midnight sun

i went out to take photos of the aurora tonight, but we have too much light pollution and cloud cover. this was around 23:30 in one of the darkest parts of the state.

thanks alan. i was racking my brain trying to figure out a decent place to shoot with the least amount of light pollution. the old port outside the city is more than a little shady, but it seemed to be a better option than anywhere near the air base or the prison.

thanks jameel. i wish the area was as calm as it looked. only 2 dead bodies washed up here in the last year, which is down from the previous year.
