The Last of the Light

One last panorama from an amazing sunset late last week. As the last of the light was starting to fade away I switched to a 70mm telephoto lens to grab one more panorama sequence close to the horizon with some deeply saturated magentas. If I had been shooting with my old Mavic 3 Pro my battery would have forced me to land by this point in the flight so the extra flight time of the Mavic 4 Pro helped me enjoy the end of the show.

Four panels at 70mm.

C&C always welcome.

That's some intense red, but I think I prefer the other shot. Maybe I'm just envious -- can't remember the last time I saw a sunset like that😉
Thanks Monika - it's very rare for a sunset to go this deep viewed inland where I live. I have seen a few sunsets like this during winter months out along the coast but this type of color show requires clear skies out beyond the horizon so the suns rays go through the low atmosphere coupled with a cloud deck positioned just right so those rays catch the underside of the clouds. For those of us living inland like me that means no marine layer out at the coast and that's not a frequent event. We are more likely to get colors like this very early in a sunrise than in a sunset.
