Nice new wheels - hope she enjoys the ride. Nice way to break it in too.

Are we going to get to see more of those wildflowers in image #2? :)

Congrats on the car Michael. 40mpg on the freeway is awesome. I am used to only ever getting 20mpg, and I know the few occasions when I get to drive a car that has such great gas mileage, I always feel like I could drive for days before filling up instead of just hours.... :)

I actually haven't heard of the Venza before. Maybe I just haven't been paying attention, but it's a pretty stylish ride. I am glad it worked well for you. It's cool seeing it in all of the different locations.

Good eye, sir. It was just a pass-through, middle of the day, harsh light, but I had to stop for those yellow flowers! Like everyone else who were there that day, you couldn't just drive past without stopping to admire them.

I have a slight older model of Honda CRV with similar capacity, it was a bare basic model, I had to add roof rails & cross bars myself, then I added a Thule Roof Box, it made a huge difference in terms of cargo volume.

The roof top box is very handy when I need to put tripods, sleeping bags, chairs, cooking gears ... etc.
