Very nice Alan. Did you use a macro rail (i.e. moving the camera) for focus tracking or just change the focus point. Second Ben's suggestion to do more of this.

Thanks - Should be easier to try with current camera focus point tech.

Thanks - I just changed the focus point while mounted on a tripod. The images were taken with a Canon 5D back in 2008 before we had Live View to fine tune focusing.

Very nice result. I haven't had much luck with it, but when the software does a good job, you can create wonderful images.

I never saw such a shot normally. It's a beautiful picture you took. In my bookmarks, I sure want it. I love looking at all the flowers that Spring has brought across the world before I can take some backyard photos and get into the Arboretum. Thank you for sharing your awesome photograph!
