Fence on Lyall Bay Ridge in New Zealand, 2018.
Thanks Alan. That funky fenceline definitely drew my eye when I discovered it up there. It's a good example of the quirky construction around Wellington where people have done what they had to to adapt to the rugged coastal landscape. There are some fun lines in this viewpoint of the fence. Nicely seen and a good entry.
Thanks Ben, that's why I ended up picking this one, though I had quite a hard time choosing. I was happy to discover a use for this photo which had been more or less cast aside. In fact I couldn't find the RAW file - I think I probably deleted it earlier, deeming it unworthy of saving. I only had a JPG to work with (a painful discovery) and on top of that it was taken in low light, isn't perfectly in focus and is too dark and noisy down in the front. But despite all that I'm going for it anyway, I just like this fenceGood one Amy, probably better than the others for the contest because is so clearly about the fence, but I liked some of your others better.
