It's that time when Fall leads into Winter that I find kind of fun. We the last of the fall colors hanging on, but the beauty of some snow and the wonderful contrasts that it can create. It's a time for gloves, hats and hot chocolate!
This is from Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I was traveling up from New Mexico to go back to my daughters in Colorado. I knew from watching the weather that Colorado Springs among other places would get some snow the night before. As I was leaving Pueblo, the sky was a solid grey mass, no details to it at all. So I was figuring I would then just skip Garden of the Gods. But as I got into the town of Colorado Springs, some shapes started to appear in the clouds, so I decided why not run over to GotG. It was just 13 mins from the I-25. So I did, and the storm continued to break up over the next 2 hours to where there was mostly blue skies by the time I left. But when I first got there, I think the clouds looked super cool.
