I didn't think of blooms transitioning like you mentioned. I think of specific bloom cycles, like the flowers that will be blooming the last week of July into August up above 11,000 feet. So that was interesting.

Thanks Jim - we have lots of different plants with different bloom cycles so at any given point in time something is starting to bloom. Flowers that bloom in the spring are mostly gone now for and the summer bloom cycle plants are starting to come out. Same concept as what you are describing but in a garden like ours there is always some plant that is hitting its bloom cycle from the crocus bulbs in early spring up until the Monk's Hood blooms in late fall. We have almost 8 months where something is blooming :)
