The sun was popping today 5-10-24

I couldn't pass up taking a shot of the sun today. I think that is one of the largest prominences I've seen so far. I used the Lunt 60 with the ASI 1600mm camera.

Now that's insane! The sun is going a bit crazy right now, so it's a perfect time to image!

The Lunt 60 is doing well.

I was thinking of getting the Lunt 40 and pairing it with the new ASI585mc Pro. How do you think that combo would do?

That looks like a seriously hot frying pan! That's more activity than I have ever seen at once in an image of the great orb.

Thanks Jim. I tried the ASI 533mc with the Lunt and it didn't do well. You need a mono camera to get thje best shots and add false color in a photo editing software.
