Not my usual processing fare but I got a new version of the Nik suite yesterday and decided to play around with Silver Efex Pro to just to try it out. I came across a nice candidate shot from a visit to Zion NP back in 2016. Shot with a 24mm TS-E lens using the shift controls for perspective on the peaks.

Thanks Jameel - I'm not sure I really use Silver Efex often enough to really appreciate just exactly what the improvements really are. The new version is certainly a pleasure to use but I can't say that I found some feature that makes updating take on a sense of urgency.

Thanks Jim - this B&W version of this scene left the color version in the dust for dramatic contrasts. The mid day light didn't do the colors any favors.

Thanks Michael - I have to confess that I was taken aback at how much better this scene looks in B&W compared to the original color. I need to try this more often as I almost always go for the colors.
