The View Expands

Another installment from the sunset I shot a couple of nights ago. Not long after the initial colors down near the horizon the show expanded to include a much larger swath of the sky so I could back off from the telephoto lens and switch to 28mm. This is a 4 panel stitch of the view. Best viewed on a wide monitor.

Some glorious color there! I learned years ago to stick around if the sky gives you a maybe, it can surprise you after others pack it up and go home.

Thanks Michael - same here but there is often a pretty clear line in when to keep up the vigil and when to pack it up. This one had all of the earmarks that said sit back and keep shooting. This isn't the grand finale yet

Definitely worth sticking around to watch it develop. With a drone up there looking out, one can relax with a cup of coffee and watch the show.

Thanks Jameel - I was sitting in a chair on my deck watching view on the controller screen and grabbing shot while the show went on....
