We are experiencing record rainfall. gloomy skys every day with no end in sight. not as good for photography, it's not as if the rain comes in photogenic storm clouds. it is a miserable overcast type of misery. two pictures, the first a reminder of what rain looks like, and the second one was taken in the Southern Alps.

I feel for you Jon. In Southern California, when it rains it's typically just flat gray clouds like you mentioned. I agree they are not photogenic at all.

Fortunately right now I am in Colorado at my daughters house, and there are daily thunderstorms with lot's of rain, but here the storm clouds are awesome and glorious, with great shapes! In fact I got a super cool sunset photo last night from the yesterdays storm. I still need to process it.
