This is What I Was Shooting

Though upon further review, this shot was from 15 or 20 minutes earlier I think. But it's the one I grabbed first to process, I will have to look through later and see what I was shooting from that spot.

This is on the very south end of Laguna Beach accessed from the 1000 Steps Beach, Ryan had set up a FocalWorld meetup and it was great to get with him to shoot.

We didn't have many clouds to begin with, so I was working the glow of the sun in my shots. There is a cool sea cave there, so we were fortunate that while we were back in the sea cave as the sun was setting, we had some cool clouds materialize in our compositions! It's always cool when unexpected clouds join the show.

Ah...perfect timing. The backlight on the splash is a great effect. I didn't realize you were shooting that close in compared to what I got of that rock.

Thanks! Yeah, I wanted to isolate that rock because that's where the action was. Eliminate the boring and include the exciting... :)

I actually like that little catch phrase I made up, or I think I made up... I better trade mark it! :eek:

Sunlight on the wave echoing the sky is a great capture!
