Thursday’s Task: Curves in the landscape. Rerun task!
My example below:
Custer State Park, SD
Badlands National Park, SD
Great Smoky Mountains National Park, TN
Yellowstone National Park, WY
Great choices Alan! The rainbow image is perfect for this task—Ruby Beach is my favorite for image’s beautiful colors and composition! The Arizona Beach wave is also very nice for the overlapping curves captured. Of course Horseshoe Bend is another good choice and a good image as well.I have seen this shape a few times.

Wow, Doug! Four great images for this week’s Task—it’s difficult to choose a favorite…but I’m favoring the Mesquite Flat Dunes image for its strong curves and complementary colors. The North Coyote Buttes image is a close runner-up—great image!Yet another nice task, John. Here are my contributions.

Your Rainbow one made me laugh Alan, in that I don't think a curve can get any more impressive then a rainbow! And yet it didn't come to mind when I was thinking of curves, so you got me on that one.I have seen this shape a few times.

Jeffrey, beautiful examples of curves seen in landscapes—the drone-captured road is a good choice. My favorite among your great images is the last one—the bold Death Valley image with its strong curves and captivating pattern—a well-seen scene! I love the color/curves of the Antelope Canyon image. The Goosenecks image is a good choice as well—I love this composition.Route 12 going over Granite Mountains, Utah.

Jameel, great choices, especially the unusual frozen lake with the snowy curves—my favorite. The Utah Route 12 captured from above twisting through the landscape aids the eye traveling through that special scene. Also a very interesting image crop of Horseshoe Bend—well seen.Fun topic. Here are some of mine.

Kyle, you win the “out-of-the-box” Task post! Very nice capture!
Dan, five great images for this task. I love your Mobius Arch composition and its inclusion here—my favorite. The vineyard’s curved rows and gentle hill creates a memorable scene. The Mendocino coast and Bowling Ball beach are also two very good images—well done!Mobius Arch

A very, very beautiful image you’ve shared Tim. It’s always nice to see an empty road leading into a peaceful scene. I like how the sky’s color reflects in the guard rails. Wonderful capture.
