Thursday’s Task

There is a joke in British club photography circles that a good image of a puffin is one where it has an odd number of sand eels in its beak, I have been in competitions where a judge has counted people in a scene and commented on whether there was an odd or an even number. I note people like that and ignore any competition that they are judging. Ken

Ken, good finds! I like the Glencoe three sisters and the intentional camera movement trees the best in your series.

Gorgeous series Alan, it's difficult to choose a favorite...or favorites! But here goes––the Mt. Hood image is spectacular in capturing the color and I like its composition as well. The Harris Beach sea stacks image is probably my ultimate choice for its quiet beauty its serene feel. The Sol Duc three forks captures a beautiful waterfall––again nice composition. The floating flowers image is a nice capture as well––and ups the odd number to seven! Nice small scene.

Beautiful images all, Doug! Love the saguaros and wildflowers image—very nice. I love the three Aspens image…but I counted 143 lupines! 😆 Your Monument Valley image is another great choice for this Task—and my favorite! Beautiful image, love the blues and oranges.
