Nice job on the intro as usual John. Here are three that came to mind when you suggested a window.

An iconic hotel in our city seen from a frosty opening in a fence on a bridge.

A 'window' in the fog revealing the Prairie Lilly boat that is stored here over winter.

Alan, great "windows" you've shared––I especially favor the Mobius Arch and Grosvenor's Arch images! The Lower Antelope Canyon image's colors and composition creates a very nice image! The "old cabin" is a great find and thanks for adding it as well!

Trent, love the first image's composition––well seen and my favorite! The boat seen through a window in the fog is another well seen scene! Thanks for sharing all of these!

Excellent work, John. Your second image is outstanding. It actually looks like a picture on the wall. I have visited this location quite a few times but never thought of going inside and photographing through a window. Next time I'm up there I am going to do that.

Here are my examples for this task.

Doug, great “windows” you’ve shared. I really like the lighthouse framed by the foreground window—great textures. The North Window/Turret Arch is perhaps my favorite with the blues and oranges and great composition. Of course the Teardrop Arch is very nice as well—love the strong foreground arch composition framing the distant features beyond. Nice.

North Window Arch at Arches National Park. ;)

Window at visitors center at the garden od the Gods,
Larry, well composed image of North Window Arch—including other visitors in the image reveals the scale of the arch—nice. The blue framed window in your second image certainly presents nice a color contrast to the walls—good strong image.

Fun topic. I have a few.

A few from Arches NP (seems to be the popular choice today)

Jameel, love the Delicate Arch image—the B&W is a great choice and I really like this composition. Your second “window” is equally nice as well. The last image’s composition is inspired—with the rock’s frowning eyes looking at the landscape beyond.

A spectacular collection of window photos! I'm impressed the members here have seen and photographed so many locations that fit Thursday's Task.

(It's clear I went too far afield with my choice  )
