Nice topic for those of us not living out on prairies

I like your Grand Tetons shots but the Smokies are a neat visual treat as well with the fall colors in #1,

Alan, beautiful images you’ve shared—I especially love the Glacier and Grand Tetons mountains landscapes. Perhaps my favorite image is the Mount Hood image. Of course the Mt. St. Helen’s is the most arresting capture of your post—Wow! Thanks again for sharing.

Michael, gorgeous mountain images! The Chimney Rock image is a favorite—I love the palette of colorful trees, near and far, with the gray rockfaces above. Nice. I also love the light in the Mt. Whitney capture—again nice! The Mt. Hood is a very special image as well, my favorite, but all are great. Thank you for sharing!

Mountains, you say?

Michael, three special “mountainscapes” you’ve shared (thank you!) I love the Kearsarge Pass image’s composition—I like the rocky foreground and blue water contrast. Beautiful image. In contrast, the soft light of the White Mountains image is also very nice capture too. I also love the B&W Buttermilk Country image with the backlit centered tree casting its soft shadow in the foreground and the snowy peaked mountains beyond. Nice!

Dan, quite stunning mountain images you shared—thank you! My favorite is your last image, beautiful mountains and sky—with falls! Your first Death Valley capture is very nice as well—love the colors and layers. The flowered foreground in the second image is quite nice as well—love the yellows and blues. I also like the middle image of mountains and layers. Nice capture too.

Fisher Towers and the La Sal Mountains
Larry, the “few you like”—I love! Red Rock Lake and Indian Peaks, a well done panorama—beautiful scene plus reflection! Nice. I like the Trail Ridge Road capture with the nice foreground layer and majestic mountains beyond. Nice clouds to “complete the picture.” The Fisher Towers is a beautiful capture as well—I especially love the yellows layers in your composition—well composed. Thanks for sharing all of these Larry!
