Thursday’s Task: Landscape SCRAMBLE game board: Stars. Your interpretation.

I do not have any landscapes with stars, but I have seen many members’ posts featuring the Milky Way and other stars and planets too.

What I do have is...

I'm burned out on the proliferation of Milky Way photos out there. But I did make one before the rage got out of control.... In the Dolomites, northern Italy.

Jefffrey, a perfect image—love this composition with the off-center cabin and nearly silhouetted mountain below the magnificent sky. Very nice! And thank you for sharing!

Nighttime shooting isn't my usual thing but I did find a couple of shots.

Alan, two beautiful starry images you’ve shared—thank you! I especially love BOTH of these! The Rialto Beach blue starry sky with the perfect mountain silhouettes in the foreground creates a memorable image. Love the “black” trees along the silhouetted mountain edges—nice details! I also love the Milky Way image too—truly a magnificent capture!

Jameel, three perfect starry skies—with a “star trail” in each! I can’t choose a favorite from each of these three beautiful images! I also love the first image’s colorful sky and Palouse Falls revealed in the darkened foreground—very nice! The Ruby Beach—with comet is a PERFECT capture! The Mt St Helens image captures a colorful Milky Way and sunset—very, very nice! Thank you for sharing each of these Jameel!

Wow! Michael, two amazing images featuring stars over significant differences in time. I love the Milky Way captured in the Nevada badlands—an equally beautiful foreground paired with the impressive stars above. Very nice! Your choice of foreground in Sawtooth Canyon is perfect for the star symmetry above. Very nice as well. Thank you for sharing these perfect images!

I think I have more stars in this one than any of my other photos.

And a little playing with a juniper, flashlights, and star circles

Kyle, two beautiful captures you’ve shared! Your first starry sky has an impressive number of stars! The foreground water’s reflection “adds” to the number of stars seen above! Very nice! My favorite is the juniper cast as the perfect model for the stars encircling its branches. An incredible image and thank you for sharing this so much! (Wow!)

Here’s Lower Lamarck Lake with a star in our solar system.

Michael, you’re absolutely correct—beautiful landscape you’ve shared—with our closer star included, only 93 million miles away! This July, it seems much closer! 😊 This is a very interesting—and beautiful composition! I love the large rocky foreground along the shore leading the eye to the distant “rocks” in the distance! Good clouds with a sunny sky! Very nice image!
