Thursday’s Task: Seasonal images.
I will not be able to respond to your posts until late Friday or perhaps later. Merry Christmas and Season’s Greetings to all.
An interesting subject and a beautiful snowy capture! Thanks for sharing Alan! This is a highly unusual scene for the area - a two panel panorama of snow squalls over Young's Bay in Astoria, Oregon from a December visit a number of years ago. The foreground is a memorial to the legacy of the Chinook Indian Tribe with a replica of the burial canoe of Chief Comcomly.

Merry Christmas Everyone![]()
Craig, incredibly beautiful snowy landscapes you’ve shared with us—and thank you for doing so! I love them all but I’ll select a few favorites. The Mesa Arch “Christmas” is so very beautiful and I love this composition. Very nice! “Morning Surprise” is another favorite featuring a snow covered path to the arch. Love the white snow on the red rock against the blue sky. I also love ”The Ride Home”—an interesting capture of a serene scene—a simple wire fence against the gorgeous mountain scene beyond. Love this one! “Dead Horse” is beautifully transformed by the fallen snow—perfect composition too. The Crystal Geyser capture erupting in the snowy landscape is a perfect capture. Very nice. “Succumbing to Nightfall” is a beautiful capture of red rocks with fallen snow transforming—and elevating the beauty of this gorgeous landscape. (Love the title too). Thank you again for sharing these gorgeous captures Craig. Here's a few.
Taken on Christmas day 2008. (We have zero snow, and rain this year)

Jameel, thank you for sharing this beautiful Christmas scene—with the additional transformational editing! Very nice indeed! My old neighborhood was famous for its holiday lighting. So much so during the holidays there would be a lot of visitors to the neighborhood just to see the lights. This photo was taken back in 2006 and then edited with, lets say, quite a bit of artistic license.
