I'm lucky to have some really nice landscape views close to home so this one is pretty easy for me :)

Cougar Creek is a small creek that feeds into Salmon Creek less than a mile from my house:

Alan, you do live close to many marvelous local landscapes—and shared many beautiful images. I especially love the first six images—yes, all of them! But I’ll name a few: Rooster Rock SP (love the autumn colors and the blues beyond), Mt. St. Helens (steamy view is a special capture), Crown Point (great composition), and of course the last image of a gorgeous and colorful sunrise from your own home’s location. Thank you for sharing each of these Alan!

Trent, thank you for sharing each of these snowy landscapes. Perhaps my favorite is the Sundog image—gorgeous and a great capture! Your last image of the large snow drift—the blowing wind certainly enhances this beautiful image. I love the beautiful sky in the ski image too. I got a kick out of the farm equipment almost completely hidden in the snowy pasture—great capture! Thanks again for sharing your local landscapes Trent!

Shots from my favorite local parks in California and Montana:

2) Herron Park looking over Foys Lake in the direction of Glacier National Park

Kyle, two very beautiful landscape images you’ve shared—both are gorgeous in all respects. The Sunol sunset image’s hills of green with the stunning sky above is a perfect capture—my favorite. The Herron Park image is another excellent image. I like the composition of Foys Lake in the middle distance, the foreground trees and the distant blues of Glacier National Park beyond. Thanks for sharing each of these Kyle.

I have taken to be very local. All images taken on walks of less than 2 miles from home. Ken

Ken, gorgeous landscapes all—as well as very local! You are fortunate (and we are too!) to see such beautiful landscapes nearby. The first image’s colors create a memorable landscape. Very, very nice! I also love the second image with the gorgeous sky above, the distant green hills with the farthest dotted with grazing sheep, and one lone tree. A memorable and perfect composition! I like the B&W snowy scene with the three travelers (and dog) traversing the scene. Very nice too. The third image of early autumn scene with the well composed stream is another beautiful landscape—and another favorite. I like the fourth image’s colors with the gorgeous sky above. Very nice. I like the last image that’s a closer capture of the second image you shared. Another favorite. Thanks for sharing each of these with us Ken.

Larry, five great landscapes you shared—thank you! I like the winding stream in your first image, good composition. Nice. I like the second image, the autumn panorama landscape with the perfect reflection. Very nice as well. Your third image, Red Rock Park (winter?) is a beautiful landscape and I love the sky. And the Red Rocks Park, (summer) makes a perfect companion image. The Bear Creek Park landscape is another well composed image—I love the autumn colors with the stream flowing over the foreground rocks. Very nice as well. Thanks again for sharing your local landscapes Larry, beautiful images!
